For over 20 years, Julio A. Viyella has been involved in the sport of rowing as a successful athlete and coach. He began his rowing career at the Miami Rowing Club and then continued as a varsity athlete at the University of Miami. After graduating in 1993 with a Business Administration degree, he pursued his MBA at The University of Georgia.

As an NCAA rowing coach, Coach Julio made an impact on programs such as The University of Tennessee and the University of Louisville, where he established the college’s first ever varsity rowing program. At the helm as head coach, he was honored with the 1999-2000 USRowing National Program of the Year Award.

His professional career, both in the private business and educational sectors, has served as the platform for his current projects. His travels throughout the US and Latin America have further offered him perspectives on various types of organizations, how they work, and what makes them successful.

Coach Julio has two children, Katerina Andrea and Julio Antonio.
